Mind BLOWN. So many things have just clicked into place in one fell swoop - this accelerator is EXACTLY what I needed at exactly the right time.

Michael, Accelerator Student

Want to know what all these bass players have in common?

They ALL studied Jazz. Even if they aren’t actually associated with that style.

That’s why every bass player knows that studying Jazz is like a..

SUPER POWER
Scott Devine

But learning Jazz can be hard. Really hard.

Whether you’re trying to learn from YouTube or books, it’s SUPER abstract, and you have no idea where to start.

If only you could find that PERFECT video or book then it would be easier, right?

Wrong!

It gets worse, here’s why.

Even if you do find the right YouTube video or book, you’re still only getting one facet of the complete picture.

So you feel like you’ve got a tiny piece of the jigsaw puzzle, and you’re not even sure what the final puzzle is supposed to look like.

Scott Devine

We knew we needed to fix it

We wanted to bring the same 360 degree integrated learning experience you could formerly only get from MUSIC SCHOOL…to online jazz learning.

So we developed a brand new program from the ground up

We applied what we learned developing programs like the massively popular Players Path to develop the first 360-degree-integrated, step-by-step online learning system for jazz bass.

INTRODUCING

15 week course + Live classes

The ONLY 360-degree integrated, step-by-step online jazz learning system for bass players.

01

How it works

This course is structured using our unique 360-degree educational framework, which immerses you in the key skills required to truly develop your voice as a jazz player.

5 Areas of Study
02

The 5 Areas of Study

What makes the Jazz Accelerator so much easier than learning from jazz books?

The key is exposing you to 5 key facets of jazz in a comprehensive way, without overwhelming you. In the Jazz Accelerator, we use real tunes to introduce the following 5 areas of focus, and keep it fun!

— Soloing & Improv

— Harmony & Theory

— Melody & Interpretation

— Chordal Development

— Accompaniment Skills

03

Why it works

The Jazz Accelerator gives you 3 things you can’t get anywhere else.

01

A fully-integrated system

The Jazz Accelerator gives you an in-depth 360-degree look at ALL the core skills necessary to develop a voice as a jazz player.

02

Learn by doing

Unlike many jazz books and videos, The Jazz Accelerator uses real jazz tunes as the basis for learning, so you can see your progress as you move from tune-to-tune, and have fun doing it!

03

Sequential Learning

The Jazz Accelerator leverages the sequential learning methodology we developed with Players Path, which is what makes SBL different from any other online learning platform.

04

What's Inside

Step-by-step Video

18+ hours of detailed step-by-step video instruction

Unlike jazz books, you’ll feel like you’re “in the room” with me whilst I demonstrate every exercise, in high-resolution video, with complete notation.

15 weeks of lessons

The Jazz Accelerator teaches you to learn by doing: we’ll go in-depth into 3 real jazz tunes, spending 4 weeks on each of them, examining them from the full-360 degree approach. Then we’ll have a livestream in the week after each tune.

In-Depth Instruction
Live Classes

3 LIVE classes

In weeks 5, 10, and 15, I’ll host an exclusive live class, so I can answer your questions in real time, and you can learn from your fellow students.

Downloadable play-alongs

For each tune we examine, you’ll have professionally recorded backing tracks, so you’ll be able to track your progress learning the tunes, and also have fun!

Playalong
Workbook

Beautifully designed printable workbooks

If you’d rather study something offline, or even read it from a printed page, The Jazz Accelerator gives you downloadable workbooks for every written exercise.

04

The Course

The Jazz Accelerator uses real jazz tunes as the basis for learning, to simulate the “learning by doing” experience you’d get in music school, show you the 5 key facets of jazz in context, and give you early wins.

We’ll spend 4 weeks examining each of 3 real jazz tunes, then we’ll have a livestream Q&A with me as a way to give you the ability to ask me questions - in real time.

FAQ

When does the course start and finish?

This accelerator program will be delivered in 15 weekly lessons starting on Wednesday, November 3, with the following lesson on Monday November 15, and lessons every Monday thereafter. The last lesson will be delivered Monday, February 14, 2022.

How long do I have access to the course?

Is lifetime access good for you? Because that works for us.

Are the lessons live?

The Jazz Accelerator includes three (!!) live seminars with Scott Devine - over a $300 value, free to you as a bonus.

And that’s just the base tier.

If you sign up for the coaching intensive, you’ll have twelve structured live seminars with your coach, after we place you in a group with students of similar ability and timezone.

(You’ll also get specific feedback on your playing.)

That said, the core lessons are not live so you don’t have to be online to receive them, they are on-demand lessons that will be added to the course every Monday for you to watch at your convenience.

What do I get every week if I enroll in the Jazz Accelerator?

Every week you'll receive a brand new set of instructional videos (around 1hr of video each week), including various exercises, etudes, and assignments, all in alignment with that weeks area of study.

How much time per week will this program take?

You can move through this program at your own pace and speed, so there is no 'falling behind'. But, for optimal results we recommend dedicating around 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week.

How long do I have to enroll?

Enrollment closes Wednesday, November 3.

What if I am unhappy with the program?

The Jazz Accelerator is backed by my no-questions-asked, 30-day guarantee — which is now trusted by over 70,000 bass players like you from around the globe.

That means if the lessons in The Jazz Accelerator don’t help you transform your technique better than anything you’ve ever tried, just send one quick email to our friendly support team here in the UK within 30 days of the start of the course (November 3, 2021).

We’ll return every cent you paid. And we’ll even eat the credit card processing fees.

Is this program self paced?

The Jazz Accelerator is delivered weekly over 15 weeks of study to help keep students focused and help to reduce overwhelm. Through our research, we’ve found that this leads to a much better learning experience for our students.

That said, although the modules are delivered weekly, this is a self-paced course. So depending on your level of bass playing right now, you may want to spend a few weeks on each module, and in some cases even more time. It all depends on how fast you want to work through the materials and how much practice time you’ve got.

So in a nutshell, the pace and intensity of this program is totally customisable to your specific needs.

If you choose the Coaching Intensive tier, your coach will guide you through the course step-by-step, and you’ll be learning with a cohort of other students.

Will there be any live elements?

Yes! The Jazz Accelerator will include 3 LIVE seminars from Scott Devine.

— Friday 10 December
— Thursday 20 January
— Friday 25 February

And that’s just the base tier.

If you sign up for the coaching intensive, you’ll have twelve structured live seminars with your coach, after we place you in a group with students of similar ability and timezone.

(You’ll also get specific feedback on your playing.)

Is this program for beginners?

If you're a total beginner, this program is not for you. You should be able to play the instrument already and have a basic understanding of things like arpeggios and scales.

Be that as it may, if you're anything other than a total beginner, you will find this accelerator valuable.

Who is this program not for?

If you're the kind of bass player who's not willing to practice their craft and expects to get better by simply watching more and more videos hoping that it'll raise their game, this program is not for you.

Does this program work for all styles of music?

Absolutely! This program is a complete methodology that will work for any style of music. Whether it’s Marcus Miller, Pino Paladino, or James Jamerson, jazz is the “secret weapon” that great bass players use to decode tunes, play great walking lines, and solo effortlessly.

If I miss enrolment this time around, when will enrolment reopen?

The next conceivable time we’d offer the Jazz Accelerator is in late 2022.
